It was a great week of wrapping things up. Of bringing tasks to an end so that others can begin.
First off, I finished integrating all the changes to my Urban Fantasy manuscript from my editor. Philip Newey does great work and I can’t recommend him enough. With the final pass of my latest novel complete, I’ll announce details to my mailing list soon and prep the front and back matter.
Secondly, I’ve been working with Kealan Patrick Burke on an amazing new cover. The front art just wrapped up yesterday. I can’t wait to show you guys.
Then, going back to my debut Seventh Sons novel, I decided to finish some things up properly. I reworked the sales blurb. Check it out. I think it is decidedly punchier and more compelling now. You may also notice that I finally have links to Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Google Play. These factors will increase my sales presence in preparation of my new release. (Now I just need to write the new sales blurb!)
Unfortunately, the busy week meant me having to put Project Zero on the backburner. It sucks to not take marketing (that’s what a free short story is) seriously, but I’m just not one of those authors that can get into two stories at once very easily. It’s enough to edit one, outline the other, work with partners, and manage the business end. Fear not- I really do want to give you a free short story soon. It’s just gonna take a little longer than I had originally planned. My priority is getting the Seventh Sons sequel released this year.
